All sessions require a non-refundable retainer.  This reserves your date and time. If the session goes off on time, and there are no reasons for me to end the session (see below), your booking fee will apply to your overall session fee.

Session time begins after up to 10 minutes of introductions (pets have additional 20 minutes of introduction time), any additional lighting is set up, and I’m ready to begin photographing.  You should plan to be at the location (or at your home) for this 10-30 minutes prior to your scheduled session.

Late cancellation fee – If you cancel your session with less than 48 hour’s notice (barring extenuating circumstances) an additional $50 fee will be assessed – this is not covered by your retainer.

Late fee – for every 10 minutes after your scheduled time you are late, there will be a $5 charge assessed. The photographer will only wait 30 minutes after your scheduled time. Your session may be cut short due to scheduling conflicts with no refund if you are late.

NOTE: If your pet or child is misbehaving or being otherwise uncooperative, I will allow 15 minutes total in up to 3 incidences to redirect or otherwise reset them. After that time you will need to schedule a new session, and the current session fee will not be refunded.

I reserve the right to end the session at any time without refund for dangerous conditions created by Nature, Acts of God, the Client, or the Location.

Examples of situations that may cause me to end a session include, but are not limited to:

• Child throwing rocks at cars, animals, myself or my staff
• Horse charging, kicking at, or biting myself or my staff
• Animal in distress because of the situation, location, or poses requested by client – as in a cat that is terrified to be outside, a dog that is upset at a child laying on it, a bird stressed by the lights required for indoor photos
• Unsafe location such as a sloppy, muddy arena that may cause a horse irreparable harm
• Unsafe equipment, such as jumps made of cinderblocks and PVC

Outdoor and Indoor Location sessions 

Outdoor Location sessions all include – 30 miles of travel from zip code 85233 as determined by google maps, up to 4 subjects(human or animal), and basic retouching (color correction and cropping for print).  For private locations, permission must be pre-obtained from owner.  It is the client’s responsibility to obtain permission and provide the photographer with proof of permission.

Outdoor sessions – NOT recommended for cats, birds, reptiles, or other small pets that don’t normally live outside. (Please see the FAQ for more information).

• OLS 1:
  • 1 total hour of time, including setup time and time for outfit changes (averages 30-45 minutes of photographing time)
  • Unlimited poses
  • Unlimited outfit or tack changes 

• OLS 2:
  • 2 total hours of time, including setup time and time for outfit changes (averages 60-90 minutes of photographing time)
  • Unlimited poses
  • Unlimited outfit or tack changes

• OLS 3:
  • 3 total hours of time, including setup time and time for outfit changes. (averages 110-140 minutes of photographing time)
  • Unlimited poses
  • Unlimited outfit or tack changes.

Indoor 
Indoor sessions have an extra half hour to account for any needed lighting setups. 

• ILS 1
  • 1.5 total hours of time, including setup time and time for outfit changes (averages 30-45 minutes of photographing time)

  • Unlimited outfit or tack changes
• ILS 2
  • 2.5 total hours of time, including setup time and time for outfit changes (averages 60-90 minutes of photographing time)

  • 15 more minutes of photographing time (if additional time is requested during the shoot, this is dependent on my schedule)

  • Simple removal of leads, fencing, or extraneous objects. This applies to jobs taking 30 minutes or less in photoshop. Priced per image.
  • Complex removal of leads, fencing, or extraneous objects. This applies to jobs 30 minutes to 90 minutes in photoshop. Priced per image.
  • Simple skin retouching – blemishes, scars, discolorations, lines. Priced per image.
  • Other – per hour.
